The first step is learning how you typically eat and having you practice entering your normal food consumption into your food app. Then, we will talk about small ways to improve your food quality and quantity. This comes with understanding what your plate should look like for each meal (the plate method) and comprehending how to eyeball measurements. Once you have become comfortable with those tools – we will ease into actual weighing and measuring macros. That’s where all the magic happens.
WellFedMacros aims to do this the right way. Nutrition coaching gives you the tools you need to maintain your goals in the long term. This is not a quick fix. Everybody is different! Sometimes our bodies can take up to a month for our metabolism to regulate and become revved. WellFedMacros encourages you to trust in our process and know that your coach has your back! We aim for 0.5-2 lbs a week of healthy weight loss. We do not expect your weightloss journey to be linear. Lots of ups and downs can occur. Special events will happen. You will go on vacations, date nights, parties with friends, family events, holidays, etc. You will have good days and bad days. This is what life is all about. We need the time to navigate through it all! And most importantly…we want your success to be sustainable!
Some changes and healthy habits will have to be made in order to achieve success. This is why you are here! The good news is, you can still enjoy the food/drinks you love. We like to go by the 80/20 rule. By focusing on consuming 80% of your diet from whole foods (non processed), we can ensure you are getting the healthy micronutrients needed for your body. Think lean protein, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds. Then, 20% of your diet are the foods that keep you sane! This is what essentially keeps you happy, not feeling deprived and interested in the program. Things like having half a bagel with cream cheese with your morning eggs, adding chips to your lunch, or enjoying a little chocolate bar! Whatever you love, you can make it work!
No you do not. Our goal is to not keep you as a client forever (although we hope to keep in touch!). We want you to get to a point where you have learned the tools well enough to eat intuitively while staying within your happy place (aka weight goal)!
